طالب الاتحاد الألماني لكرة القدم، السبت، بإجراء تحقيق شامل بشأن آلية إعداد مقترح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) المتعلق بالسماح بدخول مستثمرين من القطاع الخاص في الأنشطة التجارية المرتبطة بالبطولات الكبرى، داعياً في الوقت ذاته إلى إحداث تغيير جوهري في أسلوب إدارة العمل داخل المؤسسة الكروية العالمية.

وجاء موقف الاتحاد الألماني عقب إعلان «فيفا» تراجعه عن المضي في المشروع الذي طرحه رئيسه جياني إنفانتينو، والذي واجه اعتراضات واسعة من الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم (يويفا) وعدد من الاتحادات القارية، بسبب مخاوف تتعلق بالحوكمة وطريقة اتخاذ القرار.

وكان الاتحاد الألماني قد انضم إلى «يويفا» في معارضة المقترح، حيث لوّح سابقاً بإمكانية مقاطعة مسابقات «فيفا»، قبل أن يطالب بمزيد من الوضوح والشفافية بشأن مراحل إعداد المشروع ودراسة تداعياته.

وقال رئيس الاتحاد الألماني بيرند نويندورف لوكالة «سيد» التابعة لوكالة الصحافة الفرنسية إن إدارة «فيفا» تعاملت مع الملف بشكل أحادي ومن دون مستوى كافٍ من الشفافية، معتبراً أن ذلك لا ينسجم مع مسؤولية المؤسسة تجاه كرة القدم العالمية.

وأضاف نويندورف أن الاتحاد الألماني، بالتعاون مع «يويفا» والاتحادات القارية الأخرى، سيعمل على الدفع نحو ترسيخ ثقافة إدارية مختلفة داخل «فيفا»، تقوم على الحوار ومشاركة الأعضاء في صناعة القرارات عبر هيئات الحوكمة المعتمدة.

من جهته، انضم الاتحاد الإنجليزي لكرة القدم إلى الدعوات المطالبة بمراجعة شاملة لآليات القيادة والحوكمة في «فيفا»، مؤكداً ضرورة ضمان إدارة كرة القدم العالمية بدرجة أعلى من الشفافية.

وكان المقترح محل الجدل قد أثار انتقادات من عدد من الجهات الكروية، رغم طرحه في أعقاب إعلان «فيفا» تحقيق عائدات قياسية من بطولة كأس العالم 2026.

The German Football Association called on Saturday for a comprehensive investigation into the mechanism for preparing the proposal from the International Football Federation (FIFA) regarding allowing private sector investors into the commercial activities associated with major tournaments, while simultaneously urging a fundamental change in the management style within the global football organization.

This stance from the German Association came after FIFA announced its decision to retract from moving forward with the project proposed by its president, Gianni Infantino, which faced widespread objections from the European Football Association (UEFA) and several continental federations due to concerns related to governance and decision-making processes.

The German Association had joined UEFA in opposing the proposal, having previously hinted at the possibility of boycotting FIFA competitions, before calling for more clarity and transparency regarding the stages of the project’s preparation and the study of its implications.

German Association President Bernd Neuendorf told the "SID" agency, part of the French press agency, that FIFA's management handled the file unilaterally and without a sufficient level of transparency, considering that this does not align with the organization's responsibility towards global football.

Neuendorf added that the German Association, in cooperation with UEFA and other continental federations, will work to promote a different management culture within FIFA, based on dialogue and member participation in decision-making through established governance bodies.

For its part, the English Football Association joined calls for a comprehensive review of the leadership and governance mechanisms in FIFA, emphasizing the need to ensure that global football is managed with a higher degree of transparency.

The controversial proposal had sparked criticism from several football entities, despite being put forward following FIFA's announcement of achieving record revenues from the 2026 World Cup.
