أعرب نجم المنتخب البرتغالي برناردو سيلفا عن حزنه الشديد بعد خروج منتخب بلاده من منافسات كأس العالم 2026، عقب الخسارة أمام المنتخب الإسباني، وأكّد أن الإقصاء المبكر شكّل خيبة أمل كبيرة للجميع.

وجاءت تصريحات سيلفا بالتزامن مع قرار الاتحاد البرتغالي لكرة القدم إقالة المدير الفني روبرتو مارتينيز، وتعيين المدرب البرتغالي جورجي جيسوس، المدير الفني السابق لنادي النصر السعودي، لقيادة المنتخب خلال المرحلة القادمة.

وكتب برناردو سيلفا عبر حسابه الرسمي على «إنستغرام»: «كانت بطولة كأس عالم محبطة، وخيبة أمل كبيرة بعد خروجنا المبكر من المنافسات. لم نتوقع أن ينتهي مشوارنا بهذه السرعة».

وأضاف: «كان وسيظل تمثيل المنتخب البرتغالي شرفاً وفخراً كبيراً بالنسبة لي. أشكر جماهير البرتغال على دعمها المتواصل وثقتها الكبيرة بنا طوال البطولة».

واختتم النجم البرتغالي رسالته بتأكيد أن المرحلة القادمة ستكون مليئة بالتحديات، معرباً عن أمله في ألا تؤثر خيبة المونديال على بدايته المرتقبة مع ريال مدريد، إذ يتطلع لفتح صفحة جديدة وتقديم أفضل مستوياته.

Bernardo Silva wrote on his official Instagram account: "It was a frustrating World Cup, and a big disappointment after our early exit from the competition. We did not expect our journey to end this quickly."

He added: "Representing the Portuguese national team has been and will always be a great honor and pride for me. I thank the Portuguese fans for their continuous support and great trust in us throughout the tournament."

The Portuguese star concluded his message by affirming that the upcoming phase will be filled with challenges, expressing his hope that the disappointment of the World Cup will not affect his anticipated start with Real Madrid, as he looks forward to turning a new page and delivering his best performances.
