أقر مجلس إدارة مركز التحكيم الرياضي السعودي إنشاء غرفة تحكيم متخصصة للنظر في طلبات الاستئناف على القرارات الصادرة من لجنة انتخابات الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم خلال فترة الطعون على قوائم المرشحين، وذلك بالتزامن مع سير إجراءات انتخابات مجلس إدارة الاتحاد للدورة الجديدة.

كما اعتمد المجلس القواعد الإجرائية الخاصة بالغرفة، ووجّه بنشرها عبر الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي للمركز، إلى جانب تعيين رئيس للغرفة، بما يضمن جاهزيتها للنظر في المنازعات الانتخابية وفق الجدول الزمني المعتمد للانتخابات.

وأوضح رئيس مجلس إدارة مركز التحكيم الرياضي السعودي الدكتور محمد بن ناصر باصم أن إنشاء الغرفة يأتي ضمن جهود المركز لتطوير منظومة العدالة الرياضية، من خلال توفير مسار تحكيمي متخصص يتناسب مع طبيعة المنازعات الانتخابية ومتطلباتها الزمنية، بما يعزز النزاهة والشفافية، ويسهم في سلامة العملية الانتخابية ودعم استقرار القطاع الرياضي.

ويأتي القرار متزامنًا مع البرنامج الزمني لانتخابات الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، الذي خصص الفترة من 9 إلى 13 أغسطس لاستقبال الطعون والتظلمات، على أن يتم الفصل فيها خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 23 أغسطس، قبل إعلان القوائم النهائية للمترشحين وإجراء الانتخابات في 30 أغسطس القادم.

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center has approved the establishment of a specialized arbitration chamber to consider appeals against decisions issued by the Saudi Football Federation's Election Committee during the period for contesting the candidate lists, coinciding with the ongoing procedures for the elections of the Federation's Board of Directors for the new term.

The council also approved the procedural rules for the chamber and directed that they be published on the official website of the center, in addition to appointing a head for the chamber, ensuring its readiness to address electoral disputes according to the approved timeline for the elections.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center, Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Basem, explained that the establishment of the chamber is part of the center's efforts to develop the sports justice system by providing a specialized arbitration pathway that aligns with the nature of electoral disputes and their time requirements, thereby enhancing integrity and transparency, and contributing to the soundness of the electoral process and supporting the stability of the sports sector.

The decision comes in conjunction with the timeline for the Saudi Football Federation elections, which has allocated the period from August 9 to 13 for receiving appeals and grievances, with a resolution to be made during the period from August 15 to 23, before the final lists of candidates are announced and the elections are held on August 30.
