أعلن اﻻتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم رسمياً تعيين زين الدين زيدان مدرباً جديداً للديوك خلفاً لديديه ديشان لـ4 أعوام قادمة حتى كأس العالم 2030، وذلك في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم (الثلاثاء).

وقال زيدان إنه تلقى عروضاً عديدة لكنه رفضها كلها من أجل تدريب المنتخب الفرنسي، مؤكداً أنه محظوظ لنيل هذا الشرف وسيعمل لمواصلة تحقيق الإنجازات، مشيراً إلى شكر المدرب السابق ديشان على ما قدمه للديوك.

وقال فيليب ديالو رئيس الاتحاد الفرنسي في المؤتمر الصحفي: «إن هذه لحظة استثنائية».

كما أكد أن ديشان قاد المنتخب الفرنسي إلى قمة كرة القدم في العالم وأعاد بناء المنتخب وأعاد البريق للاعبين، ومن المهم مع انتهاء حقبته أن يكون لدينا الامتنان.

وأضاف رئيس الاتحاد: «عندما أعلن ديشان رحيله كان علي البحث عن مدرب يواصل هذه المهمة، ومنذ فبراير 2025 قابلت زيدان وتواصلت معه واقترحت عليه هذه المهمة وبعد النقاشات كان ذلك تلاقي في الرغبتين».

وسيبدأ زيدان الذي خاض 108 مباريات بألوان المنتخب سجل خلالها 31 هدفاً، مهماته الجديدة اعتبارا من أيلول/سبتمبر في دوري الأمم الأوروبية.

وستُقام المباراة الأولى للمنتخب الفرنسي بقيادة مدربه زيدان خارج الديار، إذ سيلاقي منتخب تركيا في دوري الأمم الأوروبية، يوم 25 أيلول/سبتمبر، على أن يلتقي المنتخب الفرنسي نظيره البلجيكي بعد ثلاثة أيام في المباراة التالية.

ولم يتول زيدان سوى تدريب فريق واحد هو ريال مدريد الإسباني، ناديه السابق والمفضل.

لكن هذه التجربة الوحيدة كانت ناجحة إلى حد كبير خلال فترتيه مع النادي (2016-2018 و2019-2021)، لاسيما بإحرازه لقب دوري أبطال أوروبا ثلاث مرات متتالية (2016 و2017 و2018).

ومنذ رحيله عن ريال مدريد عام 2021، بقي «زيزو» من دون منصب، قبل أن يصبح ثالث بطل للعالم من منتخب 1998 يتولى تدريب «الزرق»، بعد زميليه السابقين لوران بلان (2010-2012) ثم ديشان (2012-2026).

The French Football Federation officially announced the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the new coach of the national team, replacing Didier Deschamps for the next four years until the 2030 World Cup, during a press conference today (Tuesday).

Zidane stated that he received numerous offers but rejected them all in order to coach the French national team, affirming that he is fortunate to have this honor and will work to continue achieving successes, while also thanking former coach Deschamps for his contributions to the team.

Philippe Diallo, the president of the French Federation, said at the press conference: "This is an exceptional moment."

He also confirmed that Deschamps led the French national team to the pinnacle of world football, rebuilt the team, and restored the shine to the players, emphasizing the importance of gratitude as his era comes to an end.

The federation president added: "When Deschamps announced his departure, I had to look for a coach to continue this mission, and since February 2025, I met with Zidane and communicated with him, proposing this task, and after discussions, it was a meeting of two desires."

Zidane, who played 108 matches for the national team and scored 31 goals, will begin his new duties starting in September in the UEFA Nations League.

The first match for the French national team under coach Zidane will be an away game against Turkey in the UEFA Nations League on September 25, followed by a match against Belgium three days later.

Zidane has only coached one team, which is his former and favorite club, Real Madrid.

However, this sole experience was largely successful during his two terms with the club (2016-2018 and 2019-2021), especially with him winning the UEFA Champions League three consecutive times (2016, 2017, and 2018).

Since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, "Zizou" has remained without a position, before becoming the third World Cup champion from the 1998 team to coach "Les Bleus," following his former teammates Laurent Blanc (2010-2012) and then Deschamps (2012-2026).
