تفاجأ العالم الرياضي المتابع لنهائي مونديال كأس العالم بين إسبانيا والأرجنتين، والذي انتهى لمصلحة الأول بهدف دون مقابل، من التصرف المثير المريب، من قبل نجم ريال مدريد ومنتخب «لا روخا» الظهير مارك كوكوريلا، الذي قام بوضع «عملة معدنية» وغرسها في العشب خارج الخط القانوني من ملعب المباراة.

وكان اللاعب الإسباني السابق المدافع جوان كابديفيلا، الذي أوضح خلال حسابه الرسمي بمنصة «X»، كشف الطقوس المثيرة التي قام من خلالها بنصح زميله الحالي كوكوريلا بوضع العملة وذلك لجلب «الحظ» والتتويج باللقب.

ولم يكن كابديفيلا، الذي كان لعب أيضا في مركز الظهير الأيسر لمنتخب إسبانيا في تتويجها عام 2010 بكأس العالم، يتوقع أن يحضر نهائي كأس العالم بسبب مشاكل في التأشيرة له ولأبنائه إلى الولايات المتحدة، ولكنه سافر وتواجد بالنهائي.

من جانبها، نشرت صحيفة «Daily Mail» الإنجليزية تقريراً، تضمن اعترافا مفاجئا من كابديفيلا، بأنه طلب من مارك كوكوريلا بأن يقوم بأمر خاص سبق أن قام به في نهائي إسبانيا وهولندا خلال مونديال 2010.

ورُصد مارك كوكوريلا وهو يدفن عملة معدنية «لجلب الحظ» في أرض الملعب في لفتة سرية قبل ثوانٍ من انطلاق المباراة في نيويورك.

ونشر كابديفيلا صورة له ولأبنائه من المدرجات وهو يشاهد كوكوريلا يُخرج عملة معدنية من جوربه ويضعها في أرض الملعب، بينما كان الفريقان يستعدان لانطلاق المباراة.

وبعد فوز إسبانيا 1-0، كشف الظهير الأيسر السابق عبر حسابه على موقع إكس أنه طلب من كوكوريلا القيام بهذه اللفتة السرية، بعد أن فعل ذلك قبل أن يساعد فريقه على هزيمة هولندا قبل 16 عاماً في جنوب إفريقيا.

وقال: في عام 2010، دفنتُ قطعة نقدية في العشب قبل بدء المباراة. لقد رويتُ هذه القصة ملايين المرات، طلبتُ منه (كوكوريلا) أن يفعل الشيء نفسه.

The sports world following the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, which ended in favor of the former with a score of one goal to none, was surprised by the intriguing and suspicious behavior of Real Madrid and "La Roja" national team star, left-back Marc Cucurella, who placed a "coin" and buried it in the grass outside the legal boundary of the playing field.

The former Spanish player and defender Joan Capdevila, who clarified on his official account on the "X" platform, revealed the intriguing ritual through which he advised his current teammate Cucurella to place the coin to bring "luck" and win the title.

Capdevila, who also played as a left-back for the Spanish national team during their 2010 World Cup victory, did not expect to attend the World Cup final due to visa issues for himself and his children to the United States, but he traveled and was present at the final.

For its part, the English newspaper "Daily Mail" published a report that included a surprising confession from Capdevila, stating that he asked Marc Cucurella to perform a special act that he had previously done in the final between Spain and the Netherlands during the 2010 World Cup.

Marc Cucurella was spotted burying a coin "to bring luck" on the pitch in a secret gesture just seconds before the match kicked off in New York.

Capdevila shared a picture of himself and his children from the stands watching Cucurella take a coin out of his sock and place it on the field while the teams were preparing for the match to start.

After Spain's 1-0 victory, the former left-back revealed on his X account that he had asked Cucurella to perform this secret gesture, after he did it before helping his team defeat the Netherlands 16 years ago in South Africa.

He said: "In 2010, I buried a coin in the grass before the match started. I have told this story millions of times; I asked him (Cucurella) to do the same thing."

He continued: "Marc, I love you so much, you are the world champion," while most followers wondered: "Is this the real reason behind Spain's World Cup victory?"
