أعرب المدير الفني لمنتخب الأرجنتين ليونيل سكالوني عن حزنه بعد خسارة نهائي كأس العالم 2026 أمام إسبانيا 0-1، مؤكداً أن لاعبيه قدموا كل ما لديهم وأن «لا روخا» استحق التتويج.

وقال سكالوني عقب المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب «ميتلايف ستاديوم»: «نشعر بحزن كبير، لكننا قدمنا كل ما نملك. أهنئ إسبانيا، كانوا الأفضل واستحقوا الفوز».

وأضاف: «وصلنا إلى النهائي ونحن نعاني بدنياً، لكن اللاعبين قاتلوا حتى النهاية وهذا يدعو للفخر».

ووجه سكالوني رسالة دعم للاعبيه: «الوصول للنهائي ليس سهلاً. لا يمكن أن ألوم أي لاعب. بذل الجميع أقصى ما لديهم».

وبهذه الخسارة اكتفى حامل اللقب بالمركز الثاني للمرة الثانية، بينما تُوجت إسبانيا باللقب الثاني في تاريخها بعد غياب 16 عاماً.

The head coach of the Argentina national team, Lionel Scaloni, expressed his sadness after losing the 2026 World Cup final to Spain 0-1, confirming that his players gave everything they had and that "La Roja" deserved to win.

Scaloni said after the match held at MetLife Stadium: "We feel a great sadness, but we gave everything we had. I congratulate Spain; they were the better team and deserved to win."

He added: "We reached the final while physically struggling, but the players fought until the end, and that is something to be proud of."

Scaloni sent a message of support to his players: "Reaching the final is not easy. I cannot blame any player. Everyone gave their utmost."

With this loss, the defending champions settled for second place for the second time, while Spain claimed their second title in history after a 16-year absence.
