الاتحاد القطري: تراجع «فيفا» يحافظ على وحدة كرة القدم العالمية

رحّب رئيس الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم الشيخ حمد بن خليفة بن أحمد آل ثاني بقرار رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) جياني إنفانتينو عدم المضي قدمًا في مقترح FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE)، مؤكدًا أن القرار يخدم المصلحة العامة لمجتمع كرة القدم الدولي.

وكان المقترح يقضي بإنشاء شركة تابعة مملوكة بالكامل لـ«فيفا» تتولى إدارة الحقوق التجارية والتسويقية والتنظيمية لبطولاته، بما يشمل حقوق البث والرعاية والتذاكر والتراخيص، مع طرح حصة أقلية غير مسيطرة بنسبة 20% لمستثمرين من القطاع الخاص، بهدف جمع نحو 4.2 مليار دولار، على أساس تقييم للشركة يبلغ 20 مليار دولار. وكان «فيفا» يعتزم توجيه العائدات إلى زيادة التمويل المخصص لتطوير كرة القدم، عبر رفع إجمالي التمويل المقدم للاتحادات الوطنية الأعضاء إلى أكثر من 10 مليارات دولار، وتقديم منح إضافية لجميع الاتحادات الأعضاء البالغ عددها 211 اتحادًا، مع تأكيده الاحتفاظ بالسيطرة الكاملة على الجوانب الرياضية والتنظيمية وحوكمة اللعبة.

وقال الشيخ حمد بن خليفة إن المقترح رغم احتوائه على عدد من الأفكار التي تستحق الدراسة إلا أن إعطاء الأولوية في المرحلة الحالية للحفاظ على وحدة جميع الاتحادات الوطنية الأعضاء يُعد قرارًا حكيمًا، ويعكس الحرص على استقرار منظومة كرة القدم العالمية.

وكان المقترح قد واجه معارضة واسعة من عدد من الاتحادات القارية والوطنية، التي أبدت مخاوف بشأن تأثير دخول مستثمرين خارجيين على مستقبل إدارة اللعبة، ما دفع رئيس «فيفا» إلى إعلان عدم المضي في المشروع، مفضلًا الحفاظ على وحدة أسرة كرة القدم العالمية.

وجدد رئيس الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم تأكيد دعم الاتحاد الكامل لجهود جياني إنفانتينو الرامية إلى تطوير وتنمية كرة القدم حول العالم.

The President of the Qatar Football Association, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, welcomed the decision of FIFA President Gianni Infantino not to proceed with the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) proposal, affirming that the decision serves the public interest of the international football community.

The proposal involved the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary of FIFA that would manage the commercial, marketing, and organizational rights of its tournaments, including broadcasting, sponsorship, ticketing, and licensing rights, while offering a non-controlling minority stake of 20% to private sector investors, with the aim of raising approximately $4.2 billion based on a company valuation of $20 billion. FIFA intended to direct the revenues towards increasing funding allocated for the development of football, by raising the total funding provided to member national associations to over $10 billion, and providing additional grants to all 211 member associations, while confirming its retention of full control over the sporting, organizational, and governance aspects of the game.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa stated that although the proposal contained several ideas worthy of consideration, prioritizing the preservation of unity among all member national associations at this stage is a wise decision, reflecting a commitment to the stability of the global football system.

The proposal faced widespread opposition from several continental and national associations, which expressed concerns about the impact of external investors on the future management of the game, prompting the FIFA President to announce the decision not to proceed with the project, preferring to maintain the unity of the global football family.

The President of the Qatar Football Association reiterated the association's full support for Gianni Infantino's efforts to develop and grow football worldwide.
