كشفت مصادر «عكاظ» تفاصيل الساعات الأخيرة في معسكر الأهلي التحضيري للموسم الجديد، والتي شهدت سلسلة اجتماعات متواصلة لرئيس اللجنة التنفيذية في النادي أحمد الشنقيطي والمدير الرياضي روي بيدرو من جهة ومدرب الفريق ماتياس يايسله من جهة أخرى، ومناقشات حادة واختلافات في وجهات النظر بين الطرفين، قبل أن تنتهي دون الوصول إلى نقطة توافق ترضي كافة الأطراف، ليعود الفريق إلى جدة بعد نهاية المعسكر دون انضمام مدربه يايسله للبعثة، قبل أن يتفاجأ الجميع بوصول نيوكاسل الإنجليزي إلى اتفاق مع المدرب يايسله لقيادة الفريق في الموسم الجديد.

ومثلت مغادرة المدرب الألماني ماتياس يايسله صدمة كبيرة للأهلاويين خصوصاً من ناحية التوقيت، حيث أنهى الفريق معسكره التحضيري للموسم الجديد ولم يتبق سوى أيام قليلة على انطلاقة الموسم، ليدخل الأهلاويون في أزمة كبيرة للبحث عن مدرب جديد يقود الفريق في هذه المرحلة الحساسة.
