خافيير تيباس: «فيفا» يقتل كرة القدم.. انتهى وقت إنفانتينو

شنّ رئيس رابطة الدوري الإسباني لكرة القدم خافيير تيباس، هجوماً على الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، متهماً إياه بـ«تدمير صناعة كرة القدم»، على خلفية الطرح المتعلق بإمكانية رفع عدد المنتخبات المشاركة في نهائيات كأس العالم 2030 إلى 64 منتخباً.

وفي مقابلة مع صحيفة «لا غازيتا ديلو سبورت» الإيطالية، اعتبر تيباس أن استمرار جياني إنفانتينو في رئاسة الاتحاد الدولي بات أمراً غير مقبول، مشيراً إلى أن طريقة إدارة الفيفا تقوم، بحسب وصفه، على «نظام معيب من أساسه» مكّنه من البقاء في المنصب لنحو 10 سنوات.

وأوضح رئيس رابطة «لا ليغا» أن التركيز المتزايد على بطولة كأس العالم يأتي على حساب بقية مكونات اللعبة، قائلاً إن كرة القدم ليست مجرد بطولة عالمية تقام لفترة قصيرة، بل منظومة واسعة تعتمد على مسابقات محلية توفر آلاف فرص العمل. وأضاف أن توسيع البطولة بهذا الشكل «يدمر صناعة كرة القدم» التي تخدم مختلف القطاعات المرتبطة بالرياضة.

وأكد تيباس أن الأندية والروابط المحلية سبق أن حذرت من تداعيات ازدحام روزنامة المباريات، معتبراً أن إضافة منتخبات جديدة إلى كأس العالم تمثل ضغطاً إضافياً على اللاعبين والمسابقات المحلية.

وشدد على ضرورة تقليص عدد المنتخبات المشاركة في البطولات الدولية، والعمل على حماية كرة القدم المحلية بمختلف درجاتها، منتقداً ما وصفه باتخاذ قرارات «غير مسؤولة» من جانب الاتحاد الدولي.

وكان رئيس الفيفا جياني إنفانتينو قد أشار في وقت سابق إلى وجود نقاشات حول إمكانية توسيع كأس العالم 2030 إلى 64 منتخباً، في إطار الاحتفال بمرور 100 عام على انطلاق البطولة، علماً بأن نسخة 2030 ستقام بين إسبانيا والبرتغال والمغرب، مع استضافة الأرجنتين والأوروغواي وباراغواي مباريات رمزية ضمن الاحتفالات بالمئوية.

Javier Tebas, the president of the Spanish Football League, launched an attack on FIFA, accusing it of "destroying the football industry," in light of the proposal to increase the number of teams participating in the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams.

In an interview with the Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Tebas deemed Gianni Infantino's continued presidency of FIFA as unacceptable, pointing out that the way FIFA is managed is, in his words, based on a "fundamentally flawed system" that has allowed him to remain in office for nearly 10 years.

Tebas, the president of "La Liga," explained that the increasing focus on the World Cup comes at the expense of other components of the game, stating that football is not just a global tournament held for a short period, but a vast system that relies on local competitions providing thousands of job opportunities. He added that expanding the tournament in this way "destroys the football industry" that serves various sectors related to the sport.

Tebas confirmed that clubs and local leagues have previously warned about the repercussions of a congested match schedule, considering that adding new teams to the World Cup represents additional pressure on players and local competitions.

He emphasized the need to reduce the number of teams participating in international tournaments and to work on protecting local football at all levels, criticizing what he described as "irresponsible" decision-making by FIFA.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino had previously indicated that discussions were underway regarding the possibility of expanding the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams, as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the tournament's inception, noting that the 2030 edition will be held across Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay hosting symbolic matches as part of the centennial celebrations.
